Last year we were honored to have Ivy (the therapy dog) and Stacey (Ivy's mom) in our buildings. We are excited to welcome Ivy back this year - here is more information on Ivy and her mom Stacey:
Stacey Damiano and her dog, Ivy, have been bringing joy and comfort to people of all ages for the past four years in a multitude of different settings. Ivy, a 4 1/2 year-old goldendoodle & nationally certified Therapy Dog, is a tail-wagging, snuggle-loving, ball of (hypoallergenic) fur and unbridled joy who is sure to bring a smile to your face! At home, Ivy enjoys playing fetch, cuddling with her human sisters, stealing shoes, and eating lots of treats. Stacey, Ivy’s handler and mama, has worked with children for over a decade and, through her previous career at Green Chimneys Summer Camps, became passionate about the positive impact that animal interactions can have on children. She believes that supporting the mental health of children is one of the most important avenues to their success. In her free time, Stacey enjoys playing pickleball, doing yoga, spending time with her two daughters and husband, and continuing to build her undeniable bond with Ivy.
