Good Day Dover School Community,
As we approach the 2022-2023 school year, we want to extend a warm welcome to our new families and a welcome back to our returning families. Our summer has been filled with a variety of teaching/learning experiences for all stakeholders. As always, our buildings look amazing, which does not happen without our dedicated buildings/grounds and custodial teams.
All of our work is geared to improve our system, one child at a time in a transparent and equitable fashion. This year we will embark on a strategic plan which will support systemic alignment and provide all stakeholders with a voice in the improvement process. In addition, we will be partnering with Altaris, an organization focused on safety and emergency preparedness, which is paramount in and out of the classroom.
During the past couple of months, many of our students and staff have been involved in technology enrichment, academic-prep programs, building beautification projects, curriculum writing, AVID collaboration, science and writing programming, Responsive Classroom training, growth mindset discussions, academic retreats, student-centered scheduling, clinical conversations and discussions around increased enrichment, increased electives, rigorous course selections and much more. Check out this video for more exciting things planned for our school year: Welcome Back Video
We are looking forward to continuing with our successes, living and learning, and providing our children, community, and schools with the best opportunities and experiences possible.
Thank you for your support and have a great school year!
Respectfully,
Dr. David Fine
